IntektTM Total RNA Isolation Reagent (ToRis) is a ready-to-use reagent for isolating high quality total RNA from cell and tissue of human, animal, plant and bacteria. ToRis Reagent maintains the integrity of the RNA, while disrupting cells and dissolving cell components. Addition of chloroform followed by centrifugation, separates the solution into an aqueous phase, a middle phase and an organic phase. RNA remains exclusively in the aqueous phase. After transfer of the aqueous phase, the RNA is recovered by precipitation with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol.
This reagent provides a fast, simple and efficient way for purification, and can dispose series of samples together. About 10-50¦Ģg high quality total RNA can be purified from 100mg animal tissue, plant tissue or 1”Į107 cells. Isolated intact and high purity RNA can be directly used for RNA blot assay, dot blot hybridization, poly (A)+ selection, in vitro translation, RNase protection assay, RT-PCR assay and cDNA library building and other RNA research.
